How Do I Use Let's Robot?

What Is There to Do on Let's Robot?

There are many things to do on Let's Robot no matter how much experience you have or don't have with robotics. We offer users the ability to interact with robots from all around the world and the ability engage with other makers. We offer resources to learn how to make your own robot and the ability to connect a robot and start your own channel.

How Do I Use a Robot?

Browse to letsrobot.tv and select a robot from the list of robots under the video.
-Use the buttons above the video canvas to control movement of the robot, movement of the arms, etc.
-Use the chat box to make the robot speak out loud.

How Can I Add a Robot?

Once you have Get a robot (https://letsrobot.readme.io/docs/getting-started-1) , you can connect to to the network by following the instructions on the Connecting Your Robot page.

Make sure to check out our Customizing Your Robot page for more granular control of your robot.

How Can I Interact With Other Users?

You can use the chat box on the right to interact with other users. The chats on each robot is shared across all the robots of a particular Robocaster; or set to be global so chats are viewable across all the robots. Saying something as one robot will display on all the robots of that Robocaster, or across all robots if set to global chat, but will only play text-to-speech on the robot you currently are on.

If you put a "." in front of what you say, it will only show in chat and won't be said in text-to-speech.

Buying & Using Robits

You can purchase robits by clicking on the exclamation icon at the bottom of the chat.

Some robot functions cost robits; if you have enough they will be deducted from your account and given to the Robocaster and the robot will do that function. If you don't have enough robits, you won't be able to do that function.

To donate directly to a Robocaster you can type "woot <number>" in the robocasters robot chat and it will donate that number of robits to them.

How Can I Edit My Profile?
